Tonight I had to take the "scenic route" home from the lab. The (pro-Thaksin) "Red Shirts" had blocked all the roads at Victory Monument. No traffic is moving through there at all. I got home by the sky train, but getting to a sky train station involved a re-routed bus ride and a trip on the subway. When I finally got on the sky train, there were about 5 or 6 red shirts in the car with me! Freaky. I was a little paranoid that they might do something, but they just got off at the Victory Monument station and joined the rest of the red shirts.
The PM has just declared tomorrow as a public holiday. Probably a good idea, since it's going to be extremely difficult for people to get to work!
